What you need to get started

An internet merchant account number

This is required even if you already have a merchant account for Card Present payments. In order to apply for an Internet merchant account, you will need to provide us with information about your business.

This is an example of some of the information we would require:*

• Your website address
• What goods / services you are selling
• Monthly volume projections i.e. number of transactions per month and value of transactions per month
• Information on your website & transaction security
• The payment gateway you will be using

A payment gateway

eCommerce transactions must be processed electronically and not through a terminal, therefore, if you wish to trade online, you must set up an interface i.e. a payment gateway, that links your website and AIBMS.

All partners selected by us are fully certified, accredited and approved by the major Card Schemes. We also have established relationships with partners to support our customers with compliance certification and fraud prevention.
